HEMMINGS MOTOR NEWS PRESENTS THE FIRST NEW ENGLAND CONCOURS d’ELEGANCE AT STRATTON MOUNTAIN RESORT
BENNINGTON, VT – March 28, 2007 – the three-day collector-car extravaganza will include a premier Sunday Concours honoring featured marques, Cadillac/La Salle and Ferrari, along with vintage BMW motorcycles.
The festivities will begin on Friday, July 20, with a cruise-in at the world headquarters of Hemmings Motor News in Bennington, Vermont, followed by a brief Rally through the Green Mountains. The group will enjoy a scenic drive up the famous Ethan Allen Highway (Route 7A) as the start to this historic weekend. The rally will end at the village of Stratton Mountain Resort.
On Saturday, July 21, Hemmings will host an all-day open car show for all different automotive marques. This show is open to all pre-1983 domestic and foreign cars, trucks and motorcycles, with the winning cars appearing in the pages of a Hemmings publication. Trophies to be awarded to all first and second place winners. This promises to be one of the largest gatherings of collector cars New England has ever seen.
The Concours d’Elegance will be held on Sunday, July 22. The day will begin with an exclusive opportunity for attendees to enjoy breakfast with the renowned Hemmings editors; this will be a very entertaining way to start the day. The Concours, which will be an invitation-only show, begins mid-morning and will feature some of the rarest, most desirable and best-restored collector cars of all time. The Concours concludes with an award ceremony honoring the winners who will appear in the pages of Hemmings Motor News and Hemmings Classic Car.
If you own or know of a finely restored example of any of the above vehicles, or perhaps an all-original vehicle that has been well preserved, and believe it should be invited to join this special display, we are very interested in learning more about it. The Stratton resort has reserved a block of rooms for your convenience.
